I was forced to learn about self-publishing and book publishing in general, after losing thousands of dollars while trusting that a 'book coach' would hold my hand through the self-publishing process. I found out that particular 'so-called' book coach, Elizabeth, was only interested in holding my money - not my hand. I was determined that she and that ‘so-called’ publishing company would not stop me or my book.
Wambui was born in Greensboro, North Carolina in 1950. After high school, she studied acting at New York University School of the Arts. Her first professional role was Peggy in the original cast of Godspell at Ford's Theater in Washington, DC. (Performing under the Actor's Equity name of John-Ann Washington) She went on to perform on Broadway and in many Broadway show tours and regional theater productions. The impetus to write her first book came after dealing with mental illness and other life challenges. Once she recovered, she wanted to tell her story to give hope to others. She self-published her first book, "You Don't Know Crazy - My Life Before, During, After, Above and Beyond Mental illness" after she was swindled out of thousands of dollars by unscrupulous so-called editors and book publishing companies.
After I lost my case in small claims court, I had no money to pay for services for my book. Therefore, I had to find ways to do everything myself. That meant I was not only writing the book, but I was also the book cover designer, the book formatter, etc. I am going to share the whole self-publishing process with you and things you need to do to get your book recognized as a legitimate book. However, keep in mind that if you do have some money, you may want to hire someone for some of these services. But at least when you leave my consultation, you will have a better understanding of the processes and have a better idea of when someone is leading you in a wrong direction.

Here is a look at my first self-published book. In this video, I'm reviewing my own book:) The reason I'm showcasing my book here is so that you can get a look at the finished product. You can get a look at the cover and a quick glimpse of what the formatting and printing inside the book looks like. In the end, the only person I paid was an editor to check for misspelled words and grammatical errors. I will show you how to have a beautiful, high-quality book that you will be proud of.
I am available on an hourly basis to give authors advice about how to self-publish their own book. These calls are scheduled during a time that is convenient for you.
Most consultations last approximately 60 minutes. However, I have allotted a few minutes to each slot in order to accommodate additional questions and concerns, if needed. I know that sometimes a certain question doesn't come to you until a few days later. You are entitled to a one time follow-up call of up to 15 minutes.
I really hate it when I invest in something and then, I am told that in order to get the 'really, really good information', I must pay or invest in something else. I am not going to do that to you. I don't have a book or a seminar that I want you to buy. I am going to share all that I know about how to self-publish a book, and walk you step-by-step through the process.
I provide direct links to important agencies and valuable resources that provide tools, software and various registrations that will help bring your book to fruition in a timely and professional way.
No Fluff. Only the Real Stuff.
Choose a consultation date and time below. I will notify you about your appointment by email and text. After you choose a day and a time for your telephone consultation with me, then, you will be prompted to pay on this site for the one hour session.
I look forward to working with you!
